Instructor - Special Education teaches courses in the discipline area of special education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Requirements:- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- CT Certification in Special Education
- Minimum 1 Year Relevant School-Based Experience
- Will Accept a Substitute with Bachelor's Degree, 1 Year Experience with Students in content area. Must have experience teaching, creating lesson plans, and managing a classroom.
Benefits:- Fully Licensed Teacher - $37.00-40.00 Per hour
- Sub - Non Licensed Teacher - $30.00 - 33.00 Per hour
- Benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(k) for employees working over 30 hours a week
