Instructor - Special Education teaches courses in the discipline area of special education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job Assignment Details:- Hourly Pay Rate: $30- $40/hr
- Specific hourly pay rate is negotiable and will be discussed further during hiring process
- Benefits: Insurance Benefits provided (Medical, Vision & Dental)
- Guaranteed Hours: 37.5hours per week (full-time)
- Assignment Length: ASAP - 5/23/2024 and 24/25 SY
- Case Load Description:
- Variable but typically 10-20 students
- Mild to severe
Job Qualifications:
- Degree: Masters or Bachelors Degree in Special Education (or related field)
- License / Certification: Active Nebraskateaching certification for Special Education
- Previous school experience preferred, but new grads also welcome!
