• Must possess good writing and mathematical skills.

• Must possess good analytical skills and be able to use reason to solve problems.

• Must have advanced knowledge of electronics, telemetering and instrumentation.

• Must be able to read and understand schematics and technical manuals.

• Must be able to use process meters and evaluate results.

• Must be computer literate and either be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SCADA operating system, or be able to learn these software programs.

• Must have the ability to stand 2 hours daily; walk 1 hour daily; sit 1 hour daily; lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs.; stoop, bend, twist, turn, climb, crouch, crawl, kneel, balance, and reach.

• Must have good finger movement, grasp, hearing and eyesight.

The City of Tyler will accept two years of relevant experience in place of each year of college required in the job description. Four years of relevant experience will be considered in place of an Associate's Degree, and eight years of relevant experience will be considered in place of a Bachelor's Degree. Any experience required in the Minimum qualifications is in addition to years of experience substituted for a degree.
