We are currently recruiting for an Instrument Technician to join our team.
What you will do
Maintains and repairs the electrical instrumentation and controls for the terminal operating equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair terminal operating equipment including items such as control panels, programmable logic controllers, flare systems, instruments and process measurement and flow devices.
• Acquire and sustain knowledge of plant safety standards, including tag out lockout, confined space entry and emergency response actions.
• Receives instructions both written and verbal, setting the priorities for work assignments.
• Install, test and calibrate flow, level, pressure, temperature and other process instruments.
• Read and understand P&ID drawings. Record information on control systems and maintain documentation on terminal instrumentation.
• Meets with vendors to acquire skills and knowledge pertaining to technology advancements, cost control, and alternative solutions to reoccurring problems.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and software.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in electrical control trouble shooting and repair.
• Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability of handling multiple deadlines simultaneously.
