Insulation Crew Lead

At Koala Insulation of Jacksonville, we are looking for a motivated, professional Crew Leader to lead a team in completing our most complex jobs. This mid-level position within the company is expected to consistently perform high-quality insulation installation. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying and correcting spray foam issues and providing coaching to more junior installers. Your performance will depend on your entire crew’s safety record and job productivity. Therefore, it will be important for you to help other members of your crew perform at a high level.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Trains and coaches new employees.
• Leads crew in daily activities of all forms of insulation removal and installation.
• Handles conflict resolution as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Communicates effectively with Operations Manager regarding any employee, customer, or job issues that do not align with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Safety: Adheres to, champions, and enforces jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures that rig is safely driven to jobsite locations.
• Operations: Reads blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements and ensures that enough supplies are on hand. Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Ensures that all guidelines are followed with equipment set up and operation. Leads team to complete high quality with each job while maintaining efficiency.
• Technical: Ensures vehicle, insulation rig, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order. Ability to operate, maintain, and diagnose issues with equipment.
• Customer Service: Communicates professionally with customer, completes paperwork, and accepts payment for work completed. Ensures that team presents a professional image and that jobsite is thoroughly cleaned upon completing the job.
• Other: Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Intermediate leadership/supervisory skills.
• Excellent time management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical/troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Experience using a CRM preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma/GED required
• 2 years of Supervisory experience running an insulation job required.
• Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in spray foam and blow in insulation required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
• Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
