Job Summary:
Responsible for the collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivery of towels and linen from the Club’s various outlets. This role is full-time with benefits and the hours would be from 11a-7p five days a week.
Responsibilities:
Collect dirty towels and linen from Club outlets.
Sort articles before cleaning, separating them by fabric, color, cleaning technique, or dirt content for best results.
Load articles into dry-cleaning machines or washers at regular intervals to ensure steady availability of towels and linens.
Sort and count articles as they are removed from dryers.
Separate towels by Club delivery locations.
Hang, fold, or wrap the articles according to requirements or personal attention to detail.
Load laundry carts for delivery and assist with delivering towels promptly to appropriate Club outlet(s).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Adhere to Club and departmental safety standards and procedures.
Communicate all safety issues or equipment problems to the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for periods of up to four (4) hours.
Must be able to work in environments of high humidity and heat, up to 100° F.
Must be able to lift heavy linens weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Prior experience in commercial laundry is a plus!
