Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accounts payable processes. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments.

Duties:
- Process and code invoices accurately and efficiently
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy of accounts payable records
- Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized filing system for accounts payable documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to invoices or payments
- Assist with other accounting tasks as needed

Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desk-top
- Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to accounts payable transactions
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and other technical accounting concepts
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
