Insurance Verification Specialist

Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary information
- Review and analyze insurance policies and claims
- Ensure accuracy of patient information in the system
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding insurance inquiries

Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical coding, including knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Previous experience in an office or dental office setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze insurance policies
- Knowledge of managed care plans and insurance verification processes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information
