Ensures insurance coverage by telephone, resolves any issues with coverage and escalates complicated issues to a supervisor or manager. Being an Insurance Verification Specialist interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all hospital and regulatory policies are in compliance. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Insurance Verification Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Our team is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist. The Insurance Verification Specialist is a crucial part of the dental team. This team member is responsible for coordinating between the patients’ needs and their insurance companies to help ensure the patient is getting the best care available. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate must have a knowledge and understanding of co-insurance, co-payments, deductible, and out-of-pockets. Be able to verify patient insurance eligibility/benefits and document patient benefits.
