Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for the pre-verification of insurance for patients being admitted into the hospital for care. Ensures insurance coverage by telephone, resolves any issues with coverage and escalates complicated issues to a supervisor or manager. Being an Insurance Verification Specialist interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all hospital and regulatory policies are in compliance. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Insurance Verification Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Insurance Verification Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Responsibilities:
    • Build strong client relationships and proactively follow up as required.
    • Exemplary phone etiquette with a professional and compassionate approach
    • Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
    • Learn to address all policy-related inquiries.
    • Thoroughly document all client interactions in our management system
    • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and total commitment to daily success
    • Maintaining a high level of client retention through client onboarding and annual reviews
    Requirements:
    • Must have property and casualty insurance license
    • 2 years of property and casualty insurance experience
    • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, active listening
    • Enthusiastic about phone-based customer support and assistance
    • Proactive in problem-solving
    • Strong task prioritization skills
    • Basic computer sills
    • Highly self-motivated
    Rewards, Hours and Location:
    • Up to $50,000 per year (DOE)
    • Health Insurance Stipend
    • PTO
    • Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
    • Position can be hybrid, remote or in office!
