Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for the pre-verification of insurance for patients being admitted into the hospital for care. Ensures insurance coverage by telephone, resolves any issues with coverage and escalates complicated issues to a supervisor or manager. Being an Insurance Verification Specialist interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all hospital and regulatory policies are in compliance. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Insurance Verification Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. YOUR TYPICAL DAY:
· Efficiently and accurately verify AMP customer’s business profiles and listings on the selected search sites purchased by a customer. (Google, Bing, Yelp, Apple Maps, etc.)
· Communicate with OPTIMA™ customers during the verification process, which will entail initiating and returning calls/emails, as necessary.
· Communicate (via phone, online chat or email) with search sites, when appropriate, for resolutions needed in the verification process.
· Perform functions using AMP’s CRM and OPTIMA™ Task Management Console.
· Maintain detailed logs of all activity and provide daily, weekly, and monthly summaries to management.
· Proactively update OPTIMA™ customers on the progress of their listings during the verification process.
· Provide continuous, constructive feedback to develop better processes and systems to the OPTIMA™ Fulfillment Leadership Team.
· All other assigned duties.
