Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations for medical procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of medical coding and terminology, and the ability to navigate insurance systems.

Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Obtain necessary authorizations for medical procedures
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any coverage issues or discrepancies
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, managed care, and coding guidelines
- Assist patients with questions or concerns regarding insurance coverage

Skills:
- Proficient in medical coding and terminology (ICD-9, CPT codes)
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and requirements
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
