Interviews the patient and family to determine appropriateness for services. Being an Intake Coordinator - Home Care obtains initial and ongoing referral documentation from physicians, insurers, and providers. Coordinates the development of patient home care plans that specify the frequency and duration of the services provided. Additionally, Intake Coordinator - Home Care initiates care with service providers. Utilizes health record management software. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Work at the direction of the Director and perform according to the scheduled duties. This person will assist billing for verifying and processing billable and nonbillable services through Medicare or private insurance carriers and makes sure that all necessary documentations are complete and accurate before sending it to the carriers. This candidate will mainly be scheduling our clinicians to assist clients in varying areas of Illinois, as well as accepting clients and completing their intake forms. This person will assist Ensure all service provided is completed according to BIHC’s standards and expectations.
* Prefers an individual with billing background or is currently in the medical or health care profession.
* Professional communicator, who can establish rapport with patients and deal with concerns and problems in a professional manner.
