GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Morris House Intake Coordinator is responsible for screening, coordinating, and scheduling all admissions for the program. They are the primary contact for all potential admissions to the program, other community providers, and referral sources. They are responsible for completing the admission process and initial orientation for all new residents. The Intake Coordinator will work with the Case Managers to help individuals engaged in the Morris House Program to achieve their recovery and transitional goals. The Intake Coordinator generally carries a light caseload of residents and in that role serves as the residents’ primary Case Manager. The Intake Coordinator will work with the Case Managers to maintain the building and ensure daily overall operation. This position requires flexibility with schedule and may include evening or weekend hours.

Must be able to work mandated shifts due to staff shortage, weather, or emergent events.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree with experience in the field of substance use and dual diagnosis or Certification as a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS). Candidate must be flexible, with a high degree of motivation, exercise good judgment, and be able to work independently. Solid computer skills are required.
Training preferred on the following topics: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions (ASAM), Co-occurring disorders, including prevalence, signs/symptoms, assessment, treatment and the impact of one’s own attitudes/beliefs on the delivery of services and the use of naloxone in response to an opioid overdose.
