Intake Coordinator jobs in Parkersburg, WV

Position Summary: Receives referrals from facilities and physicians and enters them into established software system. Acts as a resource for field clinicians and patients. Obtains and writes verbal orders from the physician. Performs coding and QA audits.

 

 

Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma Minimum Experience: 1 year of med/surg or acute care experience in an institutional setting. Preferred Experience: 1 year of prior home care experience Required Certification/Registration: Current WV LPN licensure COS-C and HCS-D certification desired. Skills: Good oral & written communication skills Physical Demands: Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients, Lift supplies/equipment, Considerable reaching, stooping, standing, kneeling, crouching Working Conditions: Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements. Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness) Subject to varying and unpredictable situations Handles emergency or crisis situations Some Travel required
