Job Summary

• The HME Intake Specialist is the primary access point for customers/referral sources seeking home medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies.
• The Specialist is responsible for verification of customer demographic and financial information including insurance eligibility/benefits, authorizations and completion of all documents required by payers and/or regulatory bodies.
• Gathers prescriptions and medical records to determine qualifying criteria through knowledge of each payer source rules and regulations.
• Enters data into the computer system and supports the successful completion of HME orders and provides customer service to both internal and external customers. 

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One-year certificate from a college or technical school or 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $18.25 - $23.00 per hour
