Intake Coordinator conducts initial assessments of patients to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. May assign patients to mental health practitioners based on intake assessments. Being an Intake Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. SUMMARY STATEMENT & PURPOSE
The Intake RN is responsible for responding to admission referrals and other requests for services and information. The Intake RN provides general support to UR and Social Services under the direction of the Lead Clinician and the Director of Admissions. The Intake RN has additional responsibilities in the medical screening of potential patients.
All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful, and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Hospital, as well as being a positive representative of INBH at all times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an RN
Washington State RN license or Compact License eligible to work in WA State
Mental Health Professional designation
BLS, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certifications will be provided by INBH
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BSN
Experience in working with programs and outside referrals
Experience working in a mental health setting.
