Intake Services Representative - Home Care jobs in Gastonia, NC

Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc. is a leading established Home Health Care Agency. We currently have opportunities for PCAs within the Lenoir area.

Personal care assistants are required to possess a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, ability to read, write and carry out directions and maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.

Duties:

- Provide assistance with daily living activities for clients, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience as a Personal care assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
