Intake Services Representative - Home Care jobs in New York, NY

La'Dorch is a licensed Home Care Agency providing quality service in the New York Metropolitan area. The right candidate must receive and coordinate all referrals, including notification of insurance providers for prior authorization and services covered. In addition, they are enrolling new patients and doing necessary follow-ups on referrals and enrollments, using discretion and independent judgment in handling patient or physician complaints, receiving documents, and forwarding them to appropriate administrative staff. File all official records as necessary. Insurance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and reviewing referrals
• Following up with the necessary parties
• Ensuring a smooth transition from referral to patient
• Continually communicating with future clients
• Must be highly organized and have aggressive follow-up skills.

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred one year of Home Care Case Coordination experience.
• Knowledge of HHA Exchange is preferred.
• Proficient with Office, Microsoft, data entry, and computer skills
• Must have excellent listening as well as written and oral communication skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and a professional attitude
• Telephonic experience with frail adult or elderly population
• Ability to create a positive impression; persuasive and able to establish trust
• Bilingual in Russian/English. Other languages are a plus!

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
