Overview
i3 is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) System Analyst. The System Analyst will work as a member of the PEO-MS Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office System Engineering (System Engineering) Directorate analysis team to verify system requirements in support of Army AMD missions. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, and must be a resident of the WSMR area (El Paso TX, Las Cruces NM, or Alamogordo NM), or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Emphasize analysis and verification of requirements, development of test and analysis objectives, support the Joint Analysis Team (JAT), and support the WSMR Field Office Test Team.
- Development of documentation such as verification plans, analyses, reports, and technical briefings for IFMC SE leadership.
- Development and modification of software tools for data parsing and analysis.
- Directly support analysis of Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) and live Range testing of current and developmental AMD systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics. Candidates with relevant DoD/Army experience are strongly desired, but new hires with exceptional skills will also be considered.
- Must have 3 years direct experience with AMD systems, with specific system engineering knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems: IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD, C2BMC, FAAD, AEGIS, Sentinel, or equivalent.
- Must have experience in requirements development, testing, analysis or verification of two (2) or more of the following AMD areas: track management, threat evaluation, engagement planning and processing, interceptor guidance, IFF, CCTDI, Non-Cooperative Target Recognition, sensor geodetic registration, defense planning, sensor coverage evaluation and optimization, tactical distributed systems, networked sensors, engagement resource management, or force operations.
- Must be a strong programmer and must demonstrate proficiency with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, Matlab, C/C , Java).
- Must be fluent in Microsoft Office tools and should be familiar with Linux OS systems.
- Have direct experience with IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD, C2BMC, FAAD, AEGIS, or CEC.
- Experience with test tools, test planning and analysis, or Design of Experiments (DOE) are a plus.
- Enthusiasm, independent critical thinking and a team attitude are important, as well as the ability to respond to quick turn requests.
- Test range experience is desired.
- Must have a current Secret security clearance, or be able to receive one.
