Intellectual Property Attorney is responsible for preparing legal documents, reviewing company policies and litigating matters regarding intellectual property. May be responsible for preparing patent or trademark documents, licensing agreements, service agreements, transfer agreements and other contracts or agreements as necessary. Being an Intellectual Property Attorney aids in protecting the organization's assets in the area of intellectual property. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Additionally, Intellectual Property Attorney requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to a manager. The Intellectual Property Attorney work is closely managed. BROOME COUNTY ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY 1
Location: Binghamton, New York
Job Information/Qualifications: The Broome County District Attorney’s Office is seeking qualified candidates for entry level a Assistant District Attorney 1 positions. Applicants must be admitted to and in good standing with the New York State Bar or be sitting for the next bar exam. The ADA 1 position will receive ample training and shall also receive extensive courtroom experience which will include non jury trials and jury trials. Participation in a jury trial will give the experience of thorough case preparation, witness and evidence preparation, jury selection, opening statements, witness testimony and closing arguments.
Benefits: Membership in the NY State Retirement System, Broome County health benefits, paid vacation, sick days and holidays, and may qualify for State and Federal student loan forgiveness programs. All attorneys are eligible for significant twice-annual merit-based bonuses and all attorneys can receive an office issued iPhone and Microsoft Surface Pro. After gaining case management and courtroom experience the ADA 1 is eligible for a promotion to the ADA 2 position with a salary of $80,000.
Residency: Must be a Broome County resident or relocate to Broome County upon hiring.
