Intellectual Property Attorney jobs in Cleveland, OH

Pearne & Gordon LLP, one of the oldest and largest intellectual property law firms in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an associate patent attorney or agent. Candidates must possess:

• Degree in Electrical engineering, Computer science and engineering with an emphasis on hardware, or a related hardware engineering discipline
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• USPTO Registration

2-7 years of experience in drafting and prosecution of patent applications is preferred but not required.

Primary responsibilities will include patent application preparation and prosecution, conducting prior art searches, providing validity, infringement, and freedom-to-practice assessments, and other patent related projects. This position will work with domestic and foreign clients of all sizes and with a variety of technologies including electrical circuitry, telecommunications, medical devices, and AI/machine learning.

Compensation is competitive and may include salary and/or percentage of billings, commensurate with experience.
