The Preston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is hiring for the position of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Duties of this position will include, primarily prosecution of misdemeanor cases in Magistrate Court, but may from time to time involve felony, abuse and neglect, and juvenile proceedings in Circuit Court on behalf of the State of West Virginia, as well as potentially handling civil matters on behalf of the County Commission.
Applicants must be a member in good standing of the West Virginia State Bar. Excellent communication skills and trial experience are required. Excellent computer skills, including the ability to conduct computer assisted legal research and draft legal documents efficiently, are required.
This is a full-time position , and it comes with a full benefits package. It is a salary position, and salary will be commensurate with experience.
