Intellectual Property Attorney is responsible for preparing legal documents, reviewing company policies and litigating matters regarding intellectual property. May be responsible for preparing patent or trademark documents, licensing agreements, service agreements, transfer agreements and other contracts or agreements as necessary. Being an Intellectual Property Attorney aids in protecting the organization's assets in the area of intellectual property. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Additionally, Intellectual Property Attorney requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to a manager. The Intellectual Property Attorney work is closely managed. This position offers research, writing, litigation, and oral advocacy opportunities.

    Responsibilities include: preparation of responses to habeas corpus petitions in the United States District Courts and state courts; writing appellate briefs for the Arkansas appellate courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals; conducting evidentiary hearings in the federal district courts and state courts; and presenting oral arguments to the Arkansas appellate courts and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. The position involves death penalty litigation. Litigation experience and criminal law experience are preferred. Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience.
