DCS is seeking a Mid to Senior Level full-stack web application developer to support the F/A-18 & EA-18G Integrated Project Team. The F/A-18 IPT has several legacy applications in addition to new applications in development and in service. All projects are multi-year efforts that support the USN, USMC, and Foreign Military Sales customers. The successful candidate will have experience with web application development in .NET MVC and a demonstrable understanding and experience applying software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering.
Essential Job Functions:
Demonstrate deep understanding of software development principles and application.
Contribute to and implement knowledge of standards across teams.
Develop software applications and participate in task-related software development activities including peer reviews of software design and code.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve reported software anomalies.
Create, execute and maintain an enterprise level automation testing strategy and automation test framework for a given set of automation tools and level of standardization.
Provide mentorship and guidance within to the team and organization.
Partner with leadership teams and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
Must be able to work onsite - This position is not remote work eligible.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's Degree (or work experience equivalent) in disciplines with strong software experience will be considered, plus 8 years of relevant experience.
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Strong working understanding of problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques and strategies.
Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce deliverable products.
Extensive experience with web development in .NET environment, MVC or other multi-tiered architecture.
Extensive experience and advanced development skills in:
Classic ASP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, typescript.
Entity Framework, LINQ, Dapper.
Front-end frameworks including jQuery, VueJS, Bootstrap and Kendo, Vuex, etc.
Understanding of web application security (e.g. SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc).
Relational database design and T-SQL Database Querying.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience developing .NET web forms.
Experience developing ServiceNow.
Experience with the Agile Scrum and XP software process.
Experience with automated testing with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
