Interface Designer, Sr. - Web applies user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps. Gathers requirements from users and stakeholders, defines information architecture, creates sample user personas, and documents user workflow. Being an Interface Designer, Sr. - Web designs wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Applies the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features. Additionally, Interface Designer, Sr. - Web requires knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools. May perform user research, usability testing, or facilitate focus groups. May require familiarity with various graphic design software packages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Carney Instructional Designers design and develop, or re-design, instructional content for web-based, instructor-led courseware, and/or blended training; nurture and sustain strategic client partnerships and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions. This position is REMOTE.
Responsibilities
Use professional knowledge of principles, techniques and practices of instructional system development, adult learning theory, training research methodology, statistics, and technology to develop, review, and revise instructional material
Use the ADDIE model throughout the instructional design process
Use instructional systems to develop training objectives, lessons, units, courses, and programs
Design and develop test plans and assessment/measurement devices to determine student achievement of instructional objectives
Create or revise instructional materials and training aids for courses
Conduct studies, interpret survey data and make change recommendations to the curriculum for continuous process improvement of training programs
Implement Section 508 and SCORM requirements.
Manage/support multiple projects and multiple stakeholders /SMEs at a time.
Manage a project schedule, client relationship, and ensure content meets FLETA standards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree, from an accredited college or university, with emphasis on instructional design, educational technology, or related academic discipline, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree
8 years instructional design experience, preferably in a senior role
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effectiveness
Demonstrated project management experience
Ability to work with limited direction in a project environment that will often need definition to proactively accomplish the mission requirements
Experience with learning management systems
Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
Experience working with federal government clients
U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a government background check

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in instructional design, instructional leadership, or related field.
Experience with courseware rapid development tools, particularly Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline), Captivate.
Experience creating, administering, monitoring, updating, and reporting on Kirpatrick Level I, II, and III evaluations.
