Interface Designer - Web jobs in the United States

Position: Web Digital Interface Designer

Job duties are :

• Work with initiative leads, product teams, technical leads, architects, subject matter experts, developers, technical support groups and test teams to deliver value to the business. 10%
  • Discuss with initiative leads and product owners to come up with business requirements which will be documented as user stories in JIRA tool for technical and non-technical teams to enhance and scale up the existing and new products.
  • Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with technical leads, architects, subject matter experts and Support groups to analyze existing analytical metrics using SSRS cubes and Tableau reporting to come up with new analytical metrics which will add value to business.

• Review and accept software and interface design and requirements. 10%

• Designing, developing and maintaining applications and databases by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements and developing software systems.
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Work with architects to review high level interface designs and after approval, work on creating low level design.

• Design, prototype, develop, test, and document existing and new microservices/ui applications, and related components; make recommendations for related functions that result in a more cost effective product delivery. 30%

• Mentoring junior developers in the team and leading them to deliver on projects.
• Testing and coordinating all user interfaces changes of Responsive Web Design.
• Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC) concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.
• Ensuring application development sprint cycle is on track and adjusting the plan to meet release timelines.
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use in front end and back end technologies.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Acting independently, at the same time displaying excellent collaboration within and between various teams.

• Refine and decompose requirements to the level of detail required to initiate development. 5%

• Analyze, refine and decompose the requirements into fragments to derive modules required to initiate development

• Perform unit testing of application and related components and document test results. 10%

• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Observe, infer and document the test results

• Complete code reviews for Java Api s and react components, and complete documentation of issues identified and action items. 10%

• Work with project internal and external architects and subject matter experts to review the developed API s and UI components
• Log and document issues identified during review and action items taken to correct them

• Correct testing defects and support all testing, including but not limited to: Development Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, End-to-End Testing, and Performance Testing. 5%

• Support and work towards identifying fix for the identified defects and log them.
• Work towards fixing all identified issues to deliver a defect free product.

• Perform troubleshooting on micro services API and related UI components. 10%

• Perform troubleshooting them and arrive at best fixes to deliver an issue-free product.

• Identify application bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance. 5%

• Review application bottlenecks and possible opportunities wherever possible to bring-in an enhanced performance and an optimized process
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

• Perform code version control activities. 5%

• Make sure to save every version of the code using version control tool Git.
• Review and update the servers using version control tool to maintain all versions of the codes in-order to maintain history, analyze whenever needed and revert back or deploy a specific version whenever required.
