Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager manages the interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to interior assembly team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Assembling units at rate to meet customer quality and delivery expectations.
- Maintaining safe and clean work environment by complying with policies & procedures.
- Able to stand 8 – 10 hours per day.
- Ability to work extra hours or shifts based upon customer production requirements.
- Use of the basic hand tools.
Qualifications
- Must pass all pre-employment requirements.
- Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to speak and read English fluently.
