Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer/Designer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with clients and our architectural team, to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces and facades by specifying materials, finishes, colors, art and furniture. If you have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you. You will also be selling what is specified. We have a number of accounts in this regard and you will be compensated additionally thru the sales of these items.
Duties:
- Collaborate with architects clients to determine their design preferences, needs, and budget
- Create materials specifications and present them to clients for approval
- Develop detailed layouts, color schemes, materials, and furnishings
- Select and source furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Oversee installation and ensure that designs are implemented according to specifications
- Stay up-to-date with current design trends and industry practices
Skills:
- Proficiency in Sketchup/Lumion for plans and 3D renderings
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Ability to negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and clients
- Knowledge of sales techniques for promoting design services and products
- Cash handling experience for processing payments from clients
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for managing transactions
- Degree in design or some related field preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD REVit or other 3D BIM modeling software is a plus
