Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities:
- Follow established job order specifications as applicable and always adhere to Safety and Quality policies
- Complete assigned manufacturing tasks using specified machinery and equipment
- Push product through designated machine, catch and stack product onto pallet using a pallet jack
- Glue product as indicated by order requirements
- Bundle and tie according to the specifications
- Read and interpret drawings and record measurements
- Ensure orders are prepared to the correct length, width, thickness, bundle amounts
- Perform housekeeping tasks (sweep, empty trash, process scrap, etc.) as required
- Cross train in other areas to support business goals and objectives
- Perform and/or assist in other areas of plant as needed.
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to work in a fast-paced work setting
- Must be able to stand for long period of time
- Ability to read blueprints & use a measuring tape
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime
- Must be able to work in a paper dust environment
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature control environment
- Must be able to wear required PPE: Steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear protections.
- Must submit to a drug screening and paid background checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
