Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Assembly and kitting of electronic assemblies. Ability to handle small components is key.
1. Knowledge and capability to manufacture assemblies to customer specifications operating basic types of assembly equipment.
2. Knowledge and capability to inspect basic assemblies manufactured by the operator.
3. Knowledge and capability to record manufacturing results and communicate these results to the necessary departments.
4. Responsible for producing assemblies as scheduled in a timely manner while performing the manufacturing process in a safe working environment.
