Duties

• Participates in preparing and monitoring plans to improve or expand natural resources, and to alleviate or eliminate detrimental management impacts created by other resource uses upon the landscape.
• Participates in the coordination of studies, mitigation, or monitoring with independent contractors. Routinely utilizes Geographic Information Systems and Database Management Systems (i.

e., Access, Excel) in fulfillment of duties.

• Assists in providing on-the-job training and user assistance to seasonal or other employees to accomplish natural resources monitoring and project completion.
• Assists in preparing routine natural resources reports, to document compliance and / or noncompliance with multiple use actions and work with senior resource specialists and / or supervisor to prepare appropriate documentation.
• Collects, enters, and maintains natural resources monitoring data according to BLM and program standards. Ensures data quality and integrity by adherence to quality control standards and procedures.
