We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Landscaper to join our team at World Olivet Assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of landscaping duties, from routine maintenance tasks to specialized projects, ensuring that outdoor spaces are not only well-maintained but also aesthetically pleasing. This role will involve vendor communication, operational tasks, emergency response, and various landscaping activities. Responsibilities:

• Vendor Communication:
• Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Obtain quotes from vendors for approval
• Grass Maintenance:
• Perform lawn mowing, weed whacking, leaf blowing, and watering to maintain healthy and attractive grass areas.
• Gutter and Roof Cleaning:
• Safely clean gutters and roofs to prevent water damage.
• Debris Cleanup:
• Pick up fallen leaves, trees, trash, and animals to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Snow Management:
• Utilize snow blowers, plowing equipment, salting, and shoveling to ensure safe pathways during winter weather.
• Road/Parking Lot Maintenance:
• Flatten gravel, order and add materials, and fix pot holes to maintain safe and well-maintained roads and parking areas.
• Tools, Equipment, and Vehicle Maintenance:
• Manage vehicle registration, inspections, repairs, and inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Operate power tools and equipment for landscape projects
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to snowstorms and other emergencies to maintain accessibility and safety.
• Fuel Management:
• Monitor and manage fuel levels for equipment and vehicles.
• Pest Management:
• Implement pest control measures, particularly in early spring and fall, targeting mice/rats, ants, mosquitoes, and ticks.
• Tree Care:
• Cut down dangerous trees, remove fallen trees, and prepare firewood.
• Trim trees and bushes to enhance the overall aesthetics of the landscape.
• General Safety:
• Block off dangerous sites and conduct regular patrols for safety checks.
• Trail Management:
• Maintain and enhance trails for recreational use.
• Fencing:
• Install, paint, and remove fencing to secure and define outdoor spaces.
• Hedging:
• Trim hedges to maintain neat and attractive landscaping.
• Planting:
• Plant trees and other vegetation as part of landscaping projects.
• Holiday Décor:
• Install and remove holiday decorations as required.
• Hardscape:
• Assist with hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls

Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous experience in landscaping or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills as well as strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of landscaping equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency in operating power tools and equipment used in landscaping
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ability to use hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
