Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Description

    • Enforce safety regulations.
    • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the assembly, packing and processing of furniture.
    • Supervise direct reports and evaluate employee performance. 
    • Confer with supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
    • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
    • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
    • Observe work and other indicators to ensure that craftspeople conform to production or processing standards.
    • Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
    • Interpret specifications, schedules, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
    • Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
    • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
    • Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
    • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems or complaints.
    • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
    • Recommend personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, and promotions.
    • Plan and develop new products and production processes.
    • Perform finishing, assembly, upholstery, blast booth, sand and fill, shipping, or receiving operations as needed to maintain production flow.Design and construct templates and fixtures, using hand tools.
    • Finalizes order folders and sees them through to completion (ensuring everything is accounted for)
    • May work, when necessary, beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions.
    • Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and glasses, and optional PPE such as hearing, and breathing protection depending on tasks being performed.
    • Maintains excellent attendance to ensure responsibilities are achieved. Five day work week with occasional overtime required.
    • Works in a production facility without air conditioning, with production noises, and dust
