Position Status: Full-time, days

Position Location: Hybrid in Virginia (must be located in western part of Virginia to travel to Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, Sentara RMH Medical Center, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, and Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital)

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (may have to work earlier or later depending on the needs of the business and hard deadlines)

Minimum Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design

• Required: 7 years commercial interior design, construction admin, develop construction documents

• AutoCAD experience is required

• Certified interior design preferred

Position Overview:

Performs interior design work for all Sentara businesses including Corporate, Hospitals, Optima, Life Care, SMG, SE and MPB providing all aspects of the profession; i.e. client meetings, space planning, development of AutoCAD plans, selection and specifications of colors, building finishes, furnishings and fabrics, project coordination, bidding, awarding, and construction administration. Develops and delivers design presentations to customer. Develops Space Needs Programs to determine square footage needed and department adjacencies. Develops budgets for furnishings and construction, Manages projects.

Must work well both independently on projects and follows direction / instructions from the Architect.
