Interior Designer
Tobey Design Group is a boutique full-service interior design studio based in Portsmouth NH & Kittery Point ME with projects all over New England.
We are looking to hire an Interior Designer to support our interior design studio with design and administrative tasks related to all phases of client projects, from conception through completion. We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for interior design and a strong ability to organize information, manage time and documentation, and follow through on assignments. We are looking for the right candidate to grow with our firm; this position provides ample opportunity for career growth and development.
While there may be instances of remote working days once the candidate is more established, due to the collaborative and hands on nature of this role, the Interior Designer is expected to report regularly for work at our office.

- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly often against tight deadlines
- Possess strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
- Demonstrate creative abilities and applied problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate high level of professional maturity
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist with or have the desire to learn all aspects of project management
- Assist with preparation of presentation material for client meetings
- Ability to research and source high-quality interior products including building materials, furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, art, and accessories.
- Place and track orders with suppliers
- Interact with vendors for quotes and order questions when requested by designer
- Revise drawings, project schedules, and specifications when needed
- Assist with Instagram & other social media channels, photoshoots, and website updates
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own car, work is both remote and on site
- Candidate must be physically able to perform various installation project requirements such as lifting, standing for long periods, using a ladder, and other physical duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
