Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Residential Interior Designer who is passionate about crafting beautiful and practical living spaces while building and maintaining relationships with clients. Your role will be pivotal in leading projects from concept to completion, working closely with clients, project coordinators, project managers, engineers, and our build team. As the designer, you will also serve as a consultant to sell the project, emphasizing the importance of people and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute interior projects, especially kitchens and bathrooms, including additions.
- Produce detailed floor plans, electrical plans, interior elevations, material specifications, and 3D renderings.
- Collaborate with the design team, clients, estimators, project managers, and the build team to communicate design intent effectively.
- Work directly with team to specify and order cabinets, produce full interior specifications for finishes.
- Lead clients through the design process, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
- Contribute to the company's overall success by acting as a consultant to sell the remodel project, and by building strong client relationships.
- Synergize with the design, sales & marketing team to promote the business through compelling and engaging marketing materials including: design-build related and inspired blog posts, social media posts and promotional materials such as signage and flyers.
Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelor's degree in interior design, or interior architecture; or Design Certification through the NKBA is required.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in residential interior design is required.
- ASID affiliation a plus.
- Experience with cabinetry design, specifications and ordering through cabinet manufacturers a plus.
- Proficient in Chief Architect, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software a plus.
- Experience working in a residential design-build business model a plus.
- Basic knowledge of residential building codes.
- Strong space-planning, problem-solving, and creative skills.
- Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and goal-driven abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional appearance and ability to build relationships with diverse individuals.
- Passionate about design, construction, and fostering client relationships.
- Confident and self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and client preferences.
- Enhanced time management skills and flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
