Stewart’s Shops Corp is seeking a curious and self-motivated individual to join the Internal Audit team in Ballston Spa, NY. Our Internal Auditors find solutions for corporate departments who are seeking to improve and streamline processes while being financially conscious. This position offers an interesting mix of projects, the ability to streamline routine departmental duties and collaborate with management across wide range of business lines in order to connect dots and improve efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
• Perform reviews of critical business, including financial and operational processes across a variety of departments.
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare concise audit reports with clear conclusions and solutions.
• Follow up to ensure implementation of improvements happen within a given timeframe, track ROI.

Preferred Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and have strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting, finance, risk management, and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word).
• Previous experience in public & private accounting or recent grads who are curious & eager to learn!
