Join Our Team as a Deputy Auditor in Olivet, SD!

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Deputy Auditor for Hutchinson County in Olivet, SD. In this role, you will assist the Auditor in performing a variety of accounting and auditing tasks to ensure the financial integrity of the county.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Conduct audits of county departments and programs
• Verify and reconcile financial transactions
• Process payroll for county employees
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
• Respond to inquiries from county officials and the public
• Assist with Federal, State, County, City and School elections.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field
• Previous experience in accounting or auditing preferred
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
