INTERNAL AUDITOR
  • SGMC
  • Valdosta, GA FULL_TIME
      • Will perform financial, operational, and occasional compliance audits for all facilities within the South Georgia Health System. The auditor will complete audit steps including conducting interviews, testing transactions, evaluating internal controls and preparing work papers. Responsible for drafting internal audit findings and writing audit reports which are submitted to Executive Management. This position reports to the Director of Internal Audit.
    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
      • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration or healthcare related discipline required.
      • CIA certification preferred
      • Prior internal audit experience preferred
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • In-depth knowledge of computer applications including Excel and Word
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Ability to critically analyze data and draw valid conclusions
      • Willingness and ability to research healthcare laws and industry best practice
      • Broad knowledge of internal controls
      • Self motivated with ability to work independently
      • Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task
      • Requires high level of confidentiality
      • Healthcare and system experience desirable
