NYSERDA is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to help create and implement an internal communications strategy in support of thought leadership and programs that actively engage internal audiences on NYSERDA’s ongoing efforts to advance diversity, equity and inclusion among its workforce while also addressing climate change, advancing a carbon neutral economy, and creating healthier communities in support of New York State’s Climate Act. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Manager translates business strategies into key messages, develop internal communications calendar in support of those strategies, and executes and drives messaging that helps create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape culture.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to create and execute organizational messaging, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and a natural ability to think strategically while delivering measurable results. This role works with NYSERDA leadership, senior management and internal teams (including but not limited to the Office of the President, Human Resources, Diversity Equity & Inclusion and Resiliency and Emergency Preparedness) to communicate new information and promote NYSERDA’s special strengths and values. This position is part of a fast-paced, dynamic team and requires a broad range of skills including speech writing, public relations, media relations, social media, and internal communications.
