JOB SUMMARY: Provides leadership to the district regarding human resources services and functions to ensure legally sound and effective practices. Responsible for administering, directing and coordinating all aspects of Human Resources to include recruitment, hiring, staffing, compensation, benefits, evaluation, and discipline. Provide positive promotion for our organization and services to the community.

2. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
3. Society of Human Resources Certification or must obtain
4. Responsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the business office before expiration date of said document(s).
5. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
6. Required to have a physical presence at the designated job site each scheduled work day.
7. Must have regular and reliable job attendance, performance, and the physical ability to do the job.
ISD PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works cooperatively with administrative team to coordinate staffing and support positions within budgetary parameters.
2. Build systems to integrate with our current software to maximize efficiency.
3. Network and build relationships throughout the ISD and Community.
4. Conduct employee investigations, work with legal counsel and administer discipline if necessary.
5. Advise supervisors about matters involving discipline, job performance, employee duties and assignments.
6. Handle concerns and/or complaints, internal and external.
7. Establish competitive salary rates for non-bargaining unit staff.
8. Maintain and track assessment software.
9. Responsible for maintenance of the official personnel files.
10. Implement and apply applicable laws relating to the Family & Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and Worker’s Disability Compensation.
11. Respond to all Freedom of Information Act requests.
12. Administer and support annual culture and climate survey.
13. Member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and Administration/Union Meetings.
14. Provide necessary training to Administrative team.
15. Present and create data for internal and external meetings, such as survey results or recording training videos.
16. Responsible for recruiting, screening and placing all administrative, instructional and support staff including substitute staff.
17. Backup for new hire orientation.
18. Conduct benefits and enrollment for new and existing employees.
19. Establish, participate, and direct interviewing committees for hiring administrative, and teaching staff.
20. Responsible for reference, unprofessional conduct, and a backup of criminal background checks for all staff including implementing the new fingerprinting requirements.
21. Host and attend job and vendor fairs.
22. Works cooperatively with administrative team to manage internal and external communications.
23. Maintain and update internal and external website including creation of documents, pages, and source content.
24. Maintain ISD’s social media accounts.
25. Maintain internal documents, forms and google drive accounts.
26. Assist employees with all Human Resources and Payroll questions.
27. Prepare ads for the newspaper and online websites.
28. Maintain handbook updates.
29. Oversee supervise payroll and human resource staff and tasks.
30. Attend organization team meetings as requested.
31. Assist with special projects.
32. All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Finance, Operations and Human Resources.
