JOB SUMMARY:
This position has oversight and responsibility for the development and maintenance of the Hospital’s administrative reporting systems, all institutional pre-delivered reports, and development and maintenance of reporting platforms utilized by the Hospital.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults with users to determine needs.
- Maintains, modifies, upgrades and improves reporting applications, both transaction and web based.
- Creates new applications and resolves problems.
- Customizes and creates reports using software development tools.
- Plans, implements, tests, and troubleshoots system tools.
- Develops a data validation process and ensure data integrity.
- Trains end users on self-service reporting tools.
- Assists in the completion of required institutional and program reports
- Routinely interacts with leadership, IS, and end users to analyze data from multiple sources, merging it where possible to create a secure, reliable repository.
- Supports appropriate analysis to measure performance and improvement.
- Facilitates making decisions with an appropriate pace, striving to increase velocity and communicate transparently both at the executive and tactical level.
- Direct oversight of Process Improvement Specialist
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in meetings involving build analysts, managers, and operational stakeholders to gather data for assignments.
- Communicate with clinical/non-clinical staff to further understand needs and relay status updates related to requests.
- Documents all work efforts with every assignment in a timely manner.
- Works on assignments as prioritized and completes work based on associated timelines, making management aware of any known obstacles.
- Achieves and Maintains one or more Cerner Certifications.
- Successfully implement new reporting functionality to end users.
- Successfully implement resolutions to end users reported issues.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a programming technical discipline.
- Computer skills including including Microsoft Office products, XML, Java, SQL, Visual Basic and other web authorizing tools.
- Ability to learn and absorb new information, both technical and procedural.
- Ability to independently anticipate and analyze situations, define problems and objectives, recognize viable alternatives, and formulate solutions.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to treat hospital, employee, and patient information as confidential.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training may be substituted for experience.
- Mature personality, sense of responsibility, and integrity.
- Level headed and calm in emergencies and under stress.
- Positive attitude and flexible during routine workday.
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
- Team player and cooperative with other personnel
- Well-groomed, tactful, patient, pleasant, and customer focused.
- Experience with Cerner or another Electronic Health Record preferred.
