Summary:Supports and/or leads the development and execution of Technical Publications that may include Parts Books, Operator’s Manuals and Set-up Instructions.Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
- Produce, update, revise technical publications including, but not limited to Parts Books, Operator’s Manuals, Set-Up Instructions and the publication/printing of the publications.
- Works with Engineering on Engineer changes.
- Updates existing content that can be repurposed for use as product information, online help, training materials, e-learning components, support content, proposals, policies/procedures, and other knowledge assets.
- Assists with the translation of technical documentation.
- Works with Engineering & Parts Department with verification of parts that may be questionable
- Physically examine equipment and compare work to the actual products being represented in the manuals.
- Work with the technical publication team and/or marketing to improve efficiencies in producing quality publications competitively.
- Adheres to company quality protocols and processes
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
- Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with Oxbo guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Skills and Abilities:- Computer proficient in Composer, SolidWorks, Illustrator Adobe Suite, Excel, Word, Paint, Pdf’s, etc.
- Knowledge of Operators Manuals, Parts Books and Drawings
- Maintain excellent attendance
- Personable, presentable and articulate
- Effective project management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage outsourced work
Additional Qualifications:- An understanding of how Oxbo, H&S Products function
- Ability to analyze engineering-level information and to create technical written instruction understandable by all levels of end user
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas
- Willing to travel
- Familiarity with ISO 4254-1, ISO 4254-7, ISO 16231-1, ISO 3600:1996 standards a plus
