    JOB DESCRIPTION:



    JOB SUMMARY: Manages and oversees all aspects of the banquet service operations. Supervises, trains and develops all banquet staff. Maintains an effective working relationship with the Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef. Works closely with the Hotel and Marketing Departments on upcoming shows and functions as they pertain to Food & Beverage. Ensuring operational standards and guest service standards are in accordance with company policy and procedures.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.     • Monitors daily operations of all banquet events, including assuring appropriate staffing.
    • Responsible for the training, scheduling and supervision of all F&B Servers selected to work banquets and/or events.
    • Reviews daily invoices for accuracy.
    • Provides guest service training and departmental orientation for new banquet team members.
    • Assists F&B Manager with vendors and what food specification and pricing is needed to ensure quality products are obtained for banquets and events.
    • Assists F&B Manager with beverage vendors to ensure the optimum pricing and requirements are met.
    • Assists with private banquet bookings and provides catering and staffing for the bookings.
    • Prepares data for the department operating budgets and takes action on budget variance items.
    • Maintains and follows all proper sanitation procedures.
    • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
    • Inspects and completes all aspects of banquets but not limited to cleanliness, set ups, dress code, tear down and safety.
    • Ensures all events and banquets are posted correctly and accurately.
    • Reviews monthly inventory and usage reports to be submitted to the accounting department.
    • Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and team member morale.
    • Monitors staff performance to ensure compliance with all phases of service, sanitation and safety procedures.
    • Recommends and assists in team member evaluations and disciplines.
    • Responds to team member call-ins and adjusts staffing to ensure appropriate coverage.
    • Ensure proper procedures are adhered to while handling emergency situations with guests and or team members.
    • Ensure excellent guest service at all times.
    • Must be able to provide ongoing training for team members and be able to develop team members.
    • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department/ team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
    • Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
    • Remains aware of guests waiting time and finds ways to handle as many guests or situations as possible.
    • Moves the situation quickly toward resolution by efficiently managing and controlling the circumstances.
    • Explains the “why” behind the resolution or action for the guest.
    • Pays attention to detail and conducts thorough research to make the best decision for the guest and the business.
    • Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos’ purpose, values and objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
    • Proactively shares guest feedback with leadership and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement.
    • Seeks to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    SUPERVISION EXCERCISED: None.

    LICENSE REQUIRED: Must obtain and hold a Class II gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED required, two years dining experience or two years as a lead supervisor in Food & Beverage. Must have a minimum of five years management or Banquet Supervisor experience. Must have a valid ServSafe certification and a Washington State Food Handlers Card.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended length of time. Ability to lift forty (40) lbs. Consistently walking while carrying up to fifteen (15) lbs. Ability to perform tray service. Extensive bending, lifting, reaching, pushing and pulling. Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to higher position. Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

    • Have the capability to use all available communication tools (cell phone, email, radios).
    • Able to work well with subordinates and management in a fast pace setting.
