International Banking Manager directs and oversees a financial institution's international banking policies, objectives, and initiatives.     SUMMARY OF POSITION

    The Manager of International Transportation is responsible for executing activities required for overall management of the international transportation spend.  This includes interacting with service providers to ensure the department is providing optimal service at optimal cost.  This position is the primary resource for carrier management, systems setup, financial planning, department processes, and analyzing and communicating key information to drive business opportunities or department process change.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Transportation & Logistics concentration preferred.
    • 5 years logistics experience including budget oversight and personnel development.
    • 2 years international logistics experience
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent skills in coordinating efforts cross-functionally.
    • Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong PC skills using – MS Office (including Access and Excel), Tableau, on-line systems.
    • Working knowledge of SAP and Century VIZIV experience preferred.
    • Ability to quickly mine and interpret data.
    • Prepared to travel as required by the business.

    • Ability to work in front of a laptop or PC workstation for extended periods of time
    • Occasional standing, sitting, walking, and talking on the phone

    This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment.  Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Oversight of international freight spend and export set up of collect moves.
      • Responsible for the creation of the annual international transportation budgets and subsequent updates (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual).
      • Includes, Air freight, FCL, LCL, CFS, Drayage moves, and brokerage oversight.
      • Manage the day-to-day interaction with carriers, including but not limited to, RFP, price negotiation, allocation planning and selecting levers to adjust (free days, discharge ports to use, etc.).
    • Provide leadership, direction, supervision, and development of the Export Specialist daily.
    • Oversee relationship with 3rd party international system, Century VIZIV.  Drive improvements, confirm data accuracy, and ensure booking to routing guides.
    • Maintain a leadership role through project management, supervision, and decision-making responsibility for the department.
    • Establish, track, and act upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to control services and spending.
      • Prepare monthly narratives on financial results and key metrics that are adequate for all levels of the management team. 
      • Design, generate, and communicate financial tracking information and exception-based reporting including but not limited to, key performance indicators for Global Logistics - Transportation.
      • Drive automation opportunities to improve speed and accuracy of reporting.
      • Track container sizes used, and container utilization. 
      • Develop action-based report tools that highlight issues, costs, opportunities. and carrier performance needing further analysis.
    • Completes annual audit of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) set up in SAP compared to brokers databases.
    • Facilitates all government Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) annual requirements, Duty Drawback, and USMCA certificates.
    • Other projects assigned by the Manager or others in the transportation department.
