International Controller jobs in Augusta, GA

The Controller directs all accounting functions. A hands-on position working closely with the accounting team and other staff in the day-to-day operations of our company. The Controller is a key member to the finance leadership team.

Job Duties:

• Generate accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting, including month-end and year-end closing

• Maintain and update the accounting system and policies and provide policy guidance to the leadership team

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

• Prepare and coordinate cash flow, profitability analysis, and budgets

• Perform financial analyses and provide recommendations for business decisions

• Analyze the organization’s financial strategy and mission

• Lead the annual budgeting process and regularly update forecasts

• Manage the organization’s cash flow

• Monitoring and reviewing ROI’s

• Manage account reconciliation process

• Recommend corrective actions when necessary

• Review and present monthly and annual financial statements and reports

• Financial accounting and reporting activities include accountability for consolidated financial statements and various other accounting programs

• Ensure accurate accounting systems (ERP) mapping, functionality, interconnectivity, security, consolidation and controls

• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Managers and associated teams and ensuring KPIs are met

• Manage relationship and coordinate with external audit assurance partners and to ensure timely and quality financial audit support.

• Manage relationship with outsourced tax partners to comply with local, state, and federal requirements and tax filings

• Responsible for entire inventory process including physical inventory

• Protect the assets of the company

• This person must be able to present findings and make recommendations to management

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Master’s degree preferred

• 5-7 years of progressive finance positions with proven work experience as a Controller

• CPA license recommended

• Ability to plan, assign and direct work to meet strict deadlines

• General understanding of tax compliance requirements

• Experience in the tire industry preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
