Accounting Controller
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Accounting Controller to oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, as well as manage month and year-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, extensive experience in managing AR and AP processes, proficiency in ERP software, expertise in leading computer related activities, and a keen understanding of cash flow management principles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including invoicing, billing, collections, vendor management, payment processing, and cash disbursements.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow activities, including cash receipts, disbursements, and forecasting, to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Oversee the month-end closing process for AR, AP, and cash flow management, including reconciliation of accounts, preparation of journal entries, and generation of financial reports.
- Utilize ERP software to streamline AR and AP processes, ensure data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize cash flow, improve efficiency and accuracy of AR and AP processes, and minimize financial risk.
- Liaise with banking institutions and financial partners to manage cash flow requirements, banking relationships, and financing activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and operations, to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA designation preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash management, and month/year-end closing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply.
- Hands-on experience with ERP software with expertise in leading computer related activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
- Expert in MS Office skills, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and proficient in Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
