International Controller directs and develops the organization's international accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Ensures the preparation and analysis of all financial reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with all applicable regulations. Being an International Controller maintains an in-depth, and up to date knowledge and understanding of both US and international accounting principles. Advises management of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact international operations and reporting. Additionally, International Controller requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to a CFO or top management. Typically requires CPA. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Controller plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategic financial planning for the organization. The Controller will be part of the Executive leadership team to drive financial success and ensure the company’s long-term sustainability and growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Management
· Participate in key decision pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution as a member of the executive management team.
· Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
· Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
Financial Planning and Analysis
· Oversee issuance of financial information and report financial results to the President and Vice President.
· Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports: Daily Projected Cash Flow Forecast, Monthly Profit and Loss, Monthly Balance Sheet, Monthly Statement of Cash Flows, and Monthly Statement of Changes in Equity.
· Complete analysis of financial results as reflected in the Notes to Financial Statements; develop strategic and tactical recommendations.
· Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
· Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
Accounting Activities
· Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function; supervise company admin staff.
· Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
· Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
· Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation.
· Serve as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues.
· Develop and manage admin staff.
· File Monthly & Quarterly sales taxes.
Cash Management
· Oversee weekly cash management; approve weekly payables; execute checks.
· Process positive pay approvals
· Oversee AR management and provide support to collections activities.
· Process customer ACH and Credit card payments
· Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Liability Management - Insurance/Payroll
· Oversee Health, Dental, Life Insurance enrollments for employees including revisions and COBRA
· Send proper payroll deductions for Insurance to payroll
· Assist with scheduling employee initial and routine screenings and testing
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· An experienced leader and financial executive with appropriate experience. Experience in the Office Equipment industry is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or 10 years in relevant experience
Experience
· Proven experience as a Controller or in a senior finance role.
· Prior experience in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
