    We’d like to welcome a Human Resources Manager responsible for all aspects of Employee Relations, Performance Management and Employee Handbook Policies. The successful candidate will also supervise HR specialists in the areas of Recruitment, Leaves of Absence (LOA), Workers’ Compensation and Prevention & Safety.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITES 

    Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Human Resources & Development (HR&D), this position is a master in most areas of the department. They must be knowledgeable of and at an outstanding competency level, working and thinking independently, only referring those questions out of range of experience or authority.  Must have a mastery in research and presentation – including successful project management and execution.  This role will perform several of the responsibilities outlined directly below and will formally be assigned to lead and supervise other HR staff as designated.  

    As an essential business partner, primary key areas of Human Resources will include: 

    1) Employee Relations 
    2) Performance Management 
    3) Employee Handbook/ Guidelines with Annual Updates and Policies

    The HR Manager will plan and arrange their own work and supervise the work of HR staff assigned to them.  Providing HR support and guidance to staff handling: 

    4) Recruitment 
    5) Leaves of Absence 
    6) Prevention & Safety
    7) Workers’ Compensation  

    Must be able to complete the essential responsibilities at a professional level. This will include: projects, set and meet deadlines, problem solving, training, and supervision only referring unusual matters to the SVP of Human Resources and Development.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES

    Minimum

    • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training
    • 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, workers compensation and leaves of absence
    • Strong knowledge of California and Federal employment law and regulations
    • Previous supervisory/management experience
    • Prior experience with HRIS systems 
    • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations from action based on the analysis
    • Ability to influence through strong relationships, expertise and data and the ability to manage a group of stakeholders
    • Superior communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate to all levels of employees, management and Board Members with ability to understand how to communicate small and large, complex changes
    • Handle sensitive and confidential matters tactfully and professionally
    • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively with leadership, staff and outside business vendors at all levels to achieve defined goals, with minimal guidance and oversight
    • Able to multi-task effectively and take initiative to efficiently follow-up on actions in a timely manner
    • Above average Microsoft Office software skills, primarily in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Comfortable rolling up sleeves to get things done 
    • Strong sense of the importance of teamwork and collaboration 
    • Exceptional project management skills with execution/implementation follow through.   

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related field  
    • ADP / Workforce Now knowledge
    • Other HR department automation applications such as a Performance Management, LOA software, Prevention and Safety, etc.
    • Financial Institution/Credit Union experience
    • Key Human Resource certifications (PHR, SPHR or other certifications/equivalent)

    PAY RANGE

    In accordance with California’s Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the expected salary range for this position is between: 

    $95,000 - $125,000

    Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including their knowledge, skills, education and experience, internal equity consideration, as well as other job-related factors permitted by law.

    Note: As part of our screening process, LBS Financial conducts background investigations on candidates who have been extended a contingent offer and who have agreed and authorized us to do so.  This investigation will include a credit report, adult criminal history search, Social Security search, employment verifications and various Government regulatory and compliance searches like Terrorist Watch Lists etc.
